The 2012 U.S. High School Tour Recap
Mar 24, 2014

In fall 2012, the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons will be traveling to high schools across the country to start the distracted driving conversation, and encourage students to speak up whenever they see someone driving distractedwhether that someone be their bus driver, friend or parent. This is one of the most important conversations they can have with a driver and we would rather they NOT start that conversation in the emergency room. The tour kicked off in its first city in Skokie, Ill., at Niles North High School in November 2012.
In December 2012, the tour stopped in Mesa, Ariz., at East Valley Institute of Technology (EVIT).
In January 2013, Decide to Drive visited Beth Tfiloh High School in Baltimore, Md.
In April 2013, Decide to Drive visited Conifer and Wheat Ridge High Schools in the Denver, Colo., area.
