Disappearing Mother

Saw a driverless car with 2 children in the back approach a turn in the road and nearly drive straight off the road. After the car hit the gravel, saw a woman's head pop-up and grab the wheel and regain control. She apparently was looking for something on the floor?

Pedestrian almost hit by driver talking on phone

A man in a lexus did not want to wait for the pedestrian in the crosswalk, the driver wanted to make his turn while talking/listening to his phone next to his ear, almost hit the women. Screeching, breaking tires etc. Many times in the last few months I have witnessed situations like this or worse, crashes. People need to band together on this issue as it affects each and every person on this planet, and our lives.P.S. Pedestrians have the right of way, always!

Nightmare

Me, my 3 yr old son and my oldest sister were driving home to Albuquerque, NM from reno. My sister was driving, with me in the passenger seat and my son in the back passenger side seat in his carseat. We just passed through Tonopah and werent 1 mile out of town when the car started swerving. My sister lost control of it and it tipped on the passengers side and rolled about 3 times. When it stopped rolling, i climbed out of it, got my son out, he was unharmed, went back to check if my sister was

I was guilty

I had been cruising around Watertown 1 day a few years back & had gotten a text so i looked @ it. A truck was at a stop light & i almost hit him. I swerved & missed the truck but hit a brand new Chrysler in a car lot. I called in the accident & was given a hefty fine. The Chrysler had a few scraches, mine was more severe. I just lost a cousin to texting & driving so i wont do it anymore. But i would like to say for those who see this to PLEASE STOP the distracted driving. It could cost lives.

I was riding my motorcycle in front of Burger King and was ran into a ditch by someone not paying attention to the heavy traffic. He ran me off into a ditch causing personal injury and causing damage to my bike. He didn't even sop because he didnt even see he ran me off the road! He was to busy looking around and not paying attention. I still have pain now in my hip where the bike landed on me. The police looked for him but never found him. Please if you wanna look around stop in a parking lot

Eating and Texting

I was driving behind a vehicle and the driver kept breaking numerous times. The speed limit was 45 mph and the driver was only driving approximately 30 mph. I try to use caution and patience while driving. I was able to finally get around the driver and noticed that he was eating a burger and trying to text at the same time. I was furious with the fact that he was doublely distracted. He was disrupting the flow of traffic and not practicing safe driving skills at all.

The driver was stopped at a major intersection and was using her cell phone. Green light now, and started crossing the intersection while a fire truck was speeding across the line of travel their siren loudly sounding. She continued driving forward and talking on phone across their path . They stopped on a dime half a car length away from her driver side door. Siren and horn engaged. She continued looking straight ahead and still on the phone. No phone call is that imp

Too many to describe...

I see something that warrants description on this site at least 25 times per day on my commute. People don't drive anymore - they ride in a car, almost as though the car is driving itself. I've seen them reading, on laptops, cell phones, texting, applying makeup - you name it and I see it everyday. Good luck here...

Cruising and Nearly Side swiped

Drivers must put down the phone and pay attention to the road! A group of bikers cruising along the highway nearly went down after a driver failed to yield the right of way then attempted to pass a biker--very dangerous. The girl behind the wheel had no clue what she'd done. The phone remained in her hand the whole time.

TOO LOUD!

After leaving a gathering on Saturday afternoon a car full of youngsters-maybe high school age flies through the intersection. Good thing I was stopped. They were supposed to stop at the stop sign, but they didn't. On top of that sirens could be hear in the background. These kids out for a good time, top down, music way to loud, everyone talking and laughing away could have caused an accident or been in one themselves. They were not paying attention to the road whatsoever

FORD HD F350 SLAMS MOTORCYLCE STOPPED AT LIGHT

It was our 28 wedding anniversary and my husband and I were riding our 1995 Harley to go have a lunch celebration. It was about 1:00 pm. We were stopped at a red light and as I began to embrace my husband in anticipation of a green light. We both survived, still have surgery and therapy 8 months later. The man who hit us had just purchased his new truck and was checking out the radio buttons didnt see the red light or us, he said. He got a $150.00 fine, careless driving, plead guilty in court, d

Texting While Driving

The laws on texting while driving have become really strict. Yest still that does not deter people from texting while driving. I saw a young lady texting on the lakefront while driving. She was not paying attention to the driviver in the next lane. As a result there was a bad accident. The young lady was cited several tickets. The passenger in her care nearly lost her life.

Must Read!

I watched a gentleman read a newspaper while driving and coming to red lights. At first I thought it was only during his red light pauses however, I then noticed he continued to read while driving down the road. All I can say is that must have been one very interesting article.

One morning I was driving to work and I saw a man one lane over shaving. I had to look a second time to make sure. Yes he was shaving his beard while driving. We were in some traffic on the highway so we werent full speed but we will still about 35mph. I hope this gentleman got to work without hurting himself or anyone else.

Emails Can Wait!!!

Actually, I was expecting a very urgent email. I heard the alert on my phone, looked down for just a second and...I hit the back of the car in front of me. I slammed on the breaks in time to only aggressively tap the rear of the car. THe driver was very nice and understanding. He checked his car. There was no damage to the car, him or me-Thank goodness. So, we drove off. However, my customized license plate broke off. I guess it's more important that I didn't break anything else.

The girlfriends fault?

Riding my bike through a controlled intersection, made eye contact with a driver on my right and all was well, then he hits the gas and turns in front of me, misses my front wheel by inches. He realizes he almost nailed me, stops, rolls down his window, holds up his cell phone and says "sorry dude, my girlfriend was texting me"......Guess it was her fault??

Cell phone use on the highway

While driving on highway 70, I noticed a several cars passing a car going about 45 mph. Upon passing the vehicle personally, I noticed the driver was talking on a phone and not wearing the seatbelt. Several vehicles began sounding horns to get the driver's attention. Please, HANG UP THE PHONE AND DRIVE so no one has to use their phone to contact 911.
